Harrington 7.5Kva Honda GX390 13HP Petrol Generator
Honda GX390 13HP Petrol Generator. Direct from a corporate client that has permanently closed some of its remote sites due to the pandemic. These are not ex Hire machines, as are none of my equipment. This Harrington 7.5Kva petrol generator is in very good condition and very good working order. It is powered by the industry standard Honda GX series engine.
This item is in used condition and as such does have some minor cosmetic wear and tear such as paint missing to the frame, etc. Purely aesthetic though as it is in very good working order. Starts first pull every single time and runs sweetly with no hesitation, hunting, undue rattling or smoke. Power is switchable and delivered via either x2 230V 16A outlets or x1 230V 32A outlet all protected by individual thermal trips (untested).
There is also x1 circuit breaker to protect the maximum total load. It has just been serviced and had all of the following done. The majority of external parts have been removed to enable chaff, stones and other deposits that would have a detrimental effect on the engines performance to be cleared from the engines cooling fins. As this is an air cooled engine it is an important factor in ensuring optimum performance. Oil change, new spark plug, new air filter and filter seal.
Rocker posts have been checked and torqued, valve clearances set and torqued, air armature gap checked and adjusted. Static governor has also been checked and adjusted. Complete carb clean including pilot and main jets, emulsion tube, carb body, etc. Along with all new gaskets, new choke plate assembly and pilot jet seal.
A non original recoil starter is fitted and this has also had a new cord and handle. It has also had a new 230V socket and a new VR Cap. I have probably done more as well, but this is as much as I have noted. I do have my own set, minimum, service schedule to follow, hence all of the above. The engine was then run up and all carb adjustments checked/adjusted as required.
Top no load voltage and max rpm have both been checked and set as per manufacturers specification. It was then load tested on the 230V outlets up to 22A (around 5000W) and the engine performed exactly as it should. I will give a full working demo on collection. Terms and conditions of listing.
